A message from San Juan Mayor Mario Garza –

With due regard to the safe and healthy environment in San Juan, I have made the decision to cancel our upcoming Annual Fourth of July celebrations. We are committed to do our part to help protect our community, attendees, and fellow neighboring citizens. With the increase in coronavirus within the RGV, yesterday I consulted with Hidalgo County Health & Human Services Eddie Olivarez Chief Administrative Officer on this matter.

Mayor Pro-Tem Lenny Sanchez, Commissioner Markie Villegas, Commissioner Neto Guajardo, City Manager Ben Arjona and myself are exploring options to reschedule this event and are working to provide a proposed new date for the concert.

We will continue to work hard to bring you the unique events you love. Though it’s true that our July celebration will no longer take place in the way that we intended, we continue to strive toward our purpose – bringing you unique, fun experiences through our festivals.
