On Saturday, March 9th the City of San Juan and Keep San Juan Beautiful held the first Neighborhood Cleanup. We are proud to say that it was a great success due to the participation of the community and PSJA Students. Mayor Pro-Tem Pete Garcia, Commissioner Jesus “Jesse” Ramirez, Commissioner Ernesto “Neto” Guajardo, and Commissioner Leonardo “Lenny” Sanchez were in attendance to kick off the event and help students clean up the city. A special thank you to the school sponsors/teachers Fabian Quintana (Interact Club) and Homer Villareal J.R. (Criminal Justice Club). Thank you to the City Commission for all their support, Keep San Juan Beautiful President Jennifer Villareal, Vice-President Eric Guajardo, Yvonne Lopez, Robert Ramirez, the San Juan Sanitation Department, PSJA Students, the San Juan I.T. Department, and the San Juan Police Department for keeping everyone safe during the cleanup. This is only the beginning and the first of many events to come in an effort to clean up our great city. We hope you join us as we push forward to make a difference not only in our community but to help our environment as well. The next Neighborhood Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2019.
